Shiny-object syndrome usually happens when you open an email and buy a product. Now don't get me wrong there are a lot of good products being sold but the problem is you buy the product and don't follow through. And don't forget the up-sales, where if you want the pro version add $20.00 or $30.00. There will usually be about 4 to 6 up-sales, and by the time you get to the end that $12.99 product if you buy all the up-sales will run you 2 or 3 hundred dollars. I myself have spent thousands on various products, some of which I never even looked at.

Only Promote Products You Are Familiar With (to start)

Potential customers will not buy into your sales pitch if they feel you do not know the products or service. Once the consumer concludes you have promoted something you have not used, then they will no longer trust you.

Don't Try To Hide The Fact You're An Affiliate

Instead of just selling a product, test drive it first. Regardless of what the product or service may be; others will be more likely to buy it from you if they know you have personal experience with it.

The first is how are you going to reach potential clients for this product? Social media, videos, your blog, build a website or even doing a podcast and promoting this and others. Second thing, how to find affiliate offers. You can use click-bank, check offer-vault, join a service.(i myself belong to a service that has 1500 clients and all they do is find affiliates) However you will be required to fill out an application, then they call you and interview you. Or just open google and search affiliate programs.

Then tomorrow you will see another product you just know will make you rich and on and on and on. My favorites is the guy who drives up in a half million dollar sports car. He usually looks like he stepped out of a casting call for a leading man in a new Hollywood movie. He walks up the steps of a gulfstream jet and sits in what looks like a really comfortable leather seat ready to fly to some tropical island.
A beautiful woman who looks like she just came from a Victoria's secret photo shoot. (it's possible she did) She hands him a crystal cut glass with what looks like a very expensive scotch. He is going to tell you about all the money he has made and the new product you have to have. What they don't show you is the car goes back to the rental agency where if they were lucky got a half-days rate. The gulfstream went back into the hanger it came from without ever leaving the tarmac.
All of these people are paid actors who don't know the first thing about making money with affiliate marketing. My teacher makes anywhere from 100k to 500k a month every month, he lives in an apartment in Indonesia with his wife and two boys. (he's from the UK) He's a little on the chunky side and dresses like a homeless person.
